(2) In case of viewing with an app (advertising ID)

The Company receives informative data in forms that may be utilized temporarily for ad targeting by media companies using SSPs to help maximize the sales of advertising slots and the profitability of advertising on their platforms, as well as media companies and advertisers using “tracking tools” to analyze information on the use of apps.

Internet users who do not want ad placement with informative data (i.e. want to opt out of this system) are asked to click here.

Please note that this operation is only intended to terminate the placement of ads by leveraging informative data, and not to eliminate ad placement altogether. A separate opt-out procedure is required when changing to a new portable terminal, for example.

For the following objectives, the Company may provide informative data to corporations using the Company’s services, other partners such as ad providers, media companies, advertising companies and advertisers, including group companies of the Company, or scientific and research institutions or associations including universities or their members (regardless of whether those entities are natural or legal persons; collectively referred to as “the Corporations”), in a manner suited to the objective concerned:

(a) Provision by the Corporations of information tailored to the hobbies and preferences of internet users viewing their websites (through a computer/browser);
(b) Development, upgrading and provision of products and services by the Corporations;
(c) Proposal of products and services by the Corporations to their customers;
(d) Training or research by the Corporation.

The Company shall require the Corporation:
(a) Not to engage in any activities that might constitute a violation of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information;
(b) To use informative data within the limits of the above-mentioned objectives;
(c) To attach the conditions set forth in items (a) and (b) above when providing any informative data to a third party.

In addition to the cases mentioned above, the Company may transmit informative data to other businesses to the extent necessary for the purpose of use set forth on this page.

Depending on the computer (browser) used, internet users may reject cookies by modifying its configuration. In that case, however, please note that all or part of the services may be unavailable on the website.

Depending on the portable terminal used, app users may reset the advertising ID issued by the OS by modifying its configuration.

Since this results in resetting the advertising ID that links the informative data obtained by the Company and the portable terminal of the app user, the latter can thus stop the placement of ads based on the existing informative data.

Please note, however, that this does not eliminate the placement of ads by leveraging informative data, but that ad placement starts again using new informative data based on the subsequent use of the app.
